Most of our educational efforts are carried on through our publications, which we seek to distribute to as many readers as possible. To this end, we try to keep the costs of our published works low. They have neither slick covers nor patronizing illustrations found in many financial publications that sell for many times the price. Our publications contain very little wasted space and much substance. And because our readers may have little prior acquaintance with the technical aspects of the subject under consideration, as an aid to understanding we supplement our writing with clear graphics. Research Reports Visit our Archive to view Research Reports from 1934 to 2006
Each issue of Research Reports discusses two or more current economic events in a concise 4-8 page newsletter with executive summaries at the beginning of each article. One article each month is devoted to current business-cycle conditions. All Sustaining Members of AIER receive Research Reports twice a month (with combined issues in January and August). Economic Education Bulletin The Economic Education Bulletins seek to provide in-depth discussions of matters relating to fundamental questions in economics, personal finance, and general policy questions. The Economic Education Bulletin, which may vary in length from four pages to book-length studies of more than 150 pages, covers topics such as Social Security, Medicare, pension plans, homeownership, life insurance, taxes, inflation, gold, mutual funds, and other personal financial information. Our book-length studies seek to provide in-depth discussions of matters relating to fundamental questions in economics, personal finance, and general policy questions. Sustaining Members of AIER automatically receive the latest Economic Education Bulletin each month. Members can also purchase any of our other books for half off the listed price. SPECIAL OFFER: Become an AIER Sustaining Member and we will send you any one of our books free of charge. Research CommentariesAIER’s research staff now creates three Research Commentaries per week. Research Commentaries are shorter than our in-depth Research Reports, but provide the same unbiased critique of current economic events. Research Commentaries are usually posted in the mornings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Beyond the Numbers: An Economics Blog Beyond the Numbers is the web log (blog) for our research staff. Beyond the Numbers features the opinions of our staff, but maintains AIER's scientific approach to economics. Methodology: Knowing and the Known You can download all 17 sections of Dewey and Bentley's Knowing and the Known (1949) as a single file. All files are in PDF format and require the Adobe Reader software program.
